About Us

Meet Our Team!

Amelia Martinez

Coach Amy has been working in sports for most of her life. She likes to swim, golf, lift and juggle! Along her way, Coach Amy noticed a gap of basic movement patterns in many of her young athletic training clients. While the client was fluent in their specific sport or movement pattern, she found they often lacked other skills that could make them better overall athletes. Her passions for sport performance, youth development and pure fun aligned to produce MAP, an engaging program to give young kids the keys to any sport or activity they choose to pursue in the future.

Ashley & Taylor Burns

Ashley and Taylor have a passion for teaching kids athletic skills. After the success of Fish Factory Swim School and teaching over 1,000+ swim lessons a week, they realized that not only do kids need to learn how to swim, but they also need more general physical education than is being offered in schools. After years of research, talking with other parents, and trying things out with their own kids they decided to take on a new challenge with Coach Amy. Physical education skills like swimming, running, balancing, throwing, and hitting not only develop physical skills and lay the foundation for future athletic success, they also help develop a child’s mental and social skills. Just like swimming, it is crucial for kids to learn to love movement in all forms through play and enjoyment in order to be physically healthy throughout life. Once they become good movers and overall athletes they can then choose to specialize in a sport or sports at either the elite or recreational level. Fish Factory’s success is based upon safety, fun, and quality instruction. These same principles apply at MAP in a broader physical education standpoint. They are excited to be a part of Coach Amy’s vision and continue to refine and expand our vision of physical literacy in children.
